FADE IN:
EXT. A REGULAR WORKDAY
Traveling on a highway, heading to work in the morning, and making a phone call to the boat yard.
HOLLY
Hi Dave, have you heard anything about the
infamous transmission? I know Brad visited you
last Thursday and mentioned Chris had made
some progress.
DAVE
Hi Holly, no, I have not heard anything from Chris.
But yes, Brad did say he'd talked to Chris. I will
contact him today, actually, I'll call him as soon as
we finish talking
HOLLY
Excellent, I hope, and we all know how much I've
hoped this summer... and now fall... I did hear
someone was working on the engine hatch
hinges though.
DAVE
Yes, that was Dillon and we're all ready to go as
soon as the transmissions arrive, we all want to
get the boat in the water.
HOLLY
Sounds good, text me if you hear any good
news from Chris.
DAVE
Will do.
A few hours pass at the office and a text is received.
DAVE
Spoke with Chris and he said he expects to be...
FADE OUT.
Holly I can’t imagine your frustration. And u handle it w such grace! Hang in the Cayuga and your love for it, will be worth it in the end. Hugs
So sorry Holly. It's funny sometimes I really wish that my father never infected me with my love of boats. Why couldn't he have introduced me to golf or at least regular drugs. Would have been cheaper with less brain damage.
